Pirates VS Nationals

First game of the spring 2016 season was a nail bitter. Both teams were off to a slow start with the first runs brought in by the Nationals. The Pirates were quick to answer with a 2 run 2nd inning followed by an infield home run by Berrin. The Pirates offense had some really nice pieces but also had some holes throughout. The Pirates held the Nationals to a scorless inning in the 5th but failed to score in the bottom of the 5th, leaving the score 11-13. Nationals win.

Parents remember to work with your Pirates at home on athletic position, throwing and catching, and of course, some hitting.
