Jeremy Alumbaugh is a former Assistant Men’s Soccer Coach at Missouri State University from 1996-2000. Alumbaugh helped the Bears to national prominence as they made appearances in the NCAA Division I Tournament in 1997 and 1999. He oversaw all recruiting efforts for the Bears. Prior to Missouri State he served as an Assistant Coach at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Alumbaugh played for the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh from 1991-1994 and helped the Titans reach the NCAA Division III Sweet 16 in 1991, Elite 8 in 1993 and the Final Four in 1994. He played at Champaign Centennial High School where he was an All-Conference selection.
Prior to returning to Springfield in 2004 he worked for the Chicago Magic S.C. from 2001-2004 where he coached several teams to National, Regional and State Championships. While in Chicago he also coached the Chicago Fire Reserves of the PDL and helped the franchise win consecutive Division titles. In 2003 he served as the Assistant Coach to Mike Matkovich as they finished as the PDL National Finalist.
During his time in Chicago he worked with several current MLS and US National Team players including; Ricardo Clark, Brad Guzan, Matt Pickens, Ned Grabavoy, Quavas Kirk, Eric Lichaj, Jed Zayner, Danny O’Rourke, Chris Rolfe, Josh Lambo and Dasan Robinson.
Currently, he holds a USSF National ‘C’ License, the NSCAA National Diploma and the NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma. Alumbaugh and his wife Tammy have a daughter Sidney and reside in Springfield.

With over 40 years of proven experience in the field of soccer as a player and a coach, Carl is a true asset to the Springfield Soccer Club. He was regarded as a solid team player at various levels, initially playing for the London England Schoolboy Select Team and the Canadian Olympic/National Team. Carl achieved professional status as a player with the New York Arrows and St. Louis Steamers of the Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) and was chosen three times a MISL All-Star.
As a coach, Carl coached Busch SC (currently St. Louis S.C.) to a U.S. Youth Soccer Association National Championship. He has also coached numerous teams to state and regional cup titles at the youth level. Carl holds a USSF ‘A’ Coaching License and was the founder of the Carl Rose Soccer Academy, which eventually combined with Springfield Soccer Club. Carl has also served as a MYSA State ODP Team Coach.
Carl and his wife Teri reside in Springfield and have a son Reno, who is also a former coach in the club, and now lives in St. Louis.

Eric joins Springfield Soccer Club from MSU where he was the Assistant Men’s Coach for 6 years. He was a vital part of the duties both on and off the field, and played a major role in scouting, recruiting, conditioning players, directing camps, and fundraising for the Bears.
Prior to joining the MSU staff, Sorlie played four years at West Texas A&M, where he helped lead the Buffaloes to two Lone Star Conference championships and two NCAA tournament appearances, including an NCAA Elite 8 trip. He played his club soccer with the nationally-ranked Dallas Texans SC.
Sorlie earned a bachelor’s degree in sport and exercise science from West Texas A&M in 2000 and his Masters of Science in Administrative Studies from MSU in 2006 with an emphasis in the Sports Management Certificate Program. Eric currently holds an USSF Coaching License.
Eric and his wife, Timaree, live in Springfield.
Rob Brewer-Staff Coach

Rob is the Head Coach for the Missouri State Women’s Soccer program. 2007 was his 12th season as the Head Coach at MSU. The 1999 Missouri Valley Conference Coach of the Year has produced 54 all-conference selections and 39 academic all-conference honorees. In 11 seasons as a program, the team has only two losing seasons.
A 1977 graduate of Lynchburg (Va.) College, Brewer came to MSU after seven years at Elon (N.C.) College, where he was an Assistant Professor of Physical Education and served stints as coach of the Men and Women’s Soccer teams.
Brewer earned his Master’s Degree in Education from Virginia Tech in 1981, was a standout soccer player at Lynchburg College (VA) and competed as a high jumper on the Hornet’s track and field team. He also holds an NSCAA Coaching License.
Rob and his wife, Karen, live in Springfield and have two daughters, Katie and Molly who both play for the Springfield Soccer Club.

Cory Carr- Staff Coach

Cory is originally from Spring, Texas were he played soccer for Klein High School. At Klein he played in 3 State Championship games and was named to the All-Region and All-State First Team his Junior and Senior years. He was also named to the NSCAA All-American team as a Senior. Cory was also captain of the State Champion Houston Texans.
Cory moved to Springfield in 1993 to play on the Men’s Soccer team at MSU. Cory played under Coach Jon Leamy from 1993-1997 and was named to the Academic All-Conference Team all four years as a Bear.
Cory was the Assistant Director of Coaching of the Bears Futbol Club from 1997-1999. He also coached High School soccer in 1998 at Ozark High School and assisted at Hillcrest High School in 1997 and 1998. Cory coached Springfield Soccer Club to their first ever State Cup title in 2007 with the 90/91 Boys squad. Cory was also the recipient of the 2007 MYSA Boys Competitive Coach of the Year Award. Cory holds a USSF Coaching License.
Cory and his wife, Jill, reside in Springfield with their daughter Caroline. He is a Physical Therapist at Integrity Home Care here in Springfield.
Steve Eise-Staff Coach

A St Louis native, Steve enjoyed great success in club soccer while playing for
Scott Gallagher. From Under-14 to Under-19, Eise’s teams won state cup every
year and finished 2nd in the nation during his U-16 campaign. After high school
Steve attended St Louis University where he was a four year starter for the
Billikens and the SLU MVP his Senior year.
Steve has professional playing experience as well having played for the Detroit Rockers and the Colorado Foxes. Eise was the Director of Coaching for the Northglenn Soccer Club and was also an Assistant Coach in the Colorado ODP program. Eise holds an USSF Coaching License and received a Marketing Degree from SLU.
Steve and his wife Laura live in Springfield and have three children, Mitch, Cole and Hallee. Mitch and Cole both play for the Springfield Soccer Club
Kirsten Hatz-Staff Coach

Kirsten started coaching with the Spirit Soccer Club in Springfield, which eventually merged with the Springfield Soccer Club. Having previously been a teacher in the Springfield Catholic School District she currently teaches in the Health and Physical Education Department at Missouri State University.
Kirsten and her husband have three daughters, Shelby, Katelyn and Hannah. Katelyn runs track and Shelby and Hannah play for the Springfield Soccer Club. Kirsten holds and USSF Coaching License.
Joe

Dr. Joe Kofron was an Assistant Coach with Drury University for five years. He
is a 1988 graduate of the University of Evansville, was a standout defender for
the Aces for four years and his team's captain his Senior year. His Sophomore
and Junior seasons the University of Evansville was ranked as the #1 team in
NCAA Division I. An NCAA-I Academic All-American at Evansville, he was named to
the All-Mideast Region and All-Midwestern Collegiate Conference teams.
Joe played for the Busch Soccer Club and Vianney High School in St. Louis while winning two State Championships with Vianney. He also earned Parade Magazine and Adidas All-American honors while at Vianney.
Currently, Joe is the Head Boys Coach at Springfield Catholic High School. He was also one of the founders of the Tracker Soccer Club which later merged into the current Springfield Soccer Club. Joe has a USSF Coaching License.
Joe resides in Springfield with his wife, Anne, and their four children, Nick, Hannah, Joe, and Amy. He owns Dental Care of Nixa in Nixa, MO. Nick, Hannah and Joe all play for the Springfield Soccer Club.
Josh Hertel-Staff Coach

Born and raised playing soccer
in St. Louis, Josh played for the Busch Soccer Club through age 18. He won the
1988 Missouri State Cup and went on to place 3rd in the USYS Region II
Championships. Hertel attended Saint Louis University High School, were as a
junior, he won the Missouri State High School Championship. He then attended
Christian Brothers University in Memphis, TN (NAIA), where he lettered as a
starter for 4 years. Hertel also served as team captain during his Sophomore,
Junior, and Senior years. Josh was selected as an Honorable Mention All-American
and All-South, and All-Tennessee Collegiate Athletic Conference (TCAC) soccer
team all four years.
After graduation Josh helped as the Assistant Coach at Christian Brothers University in the fall of 1996. After college he went on to coach youth soccer in Tennessee for the Memphis Futbol Club and captured a State Championship in 1997. Josh currently holds an USSF ‘B’ Coaching License and has coached for the Springfield Soccer Club for the past four years.
Josh is employed at Carlisle Power Transmission as an Equipment Design Engineer and holds BS in Mechanical Engineering from Christian Brothers University. Josh is married to Anna and they have two daughters; Reese and Dallas.
Todd McCutcheon-Staff

Todd started his coaching
career with Mt. Vernon Express before relocating with his family to
Springfield. He coached for a number of years with JB Marine and The Cobras
before coming over to the Springfield Soccer Club. He holds a USSF Coaching
License and is also a certified referee.
Todd and his wife Christina have two children Jessica and Josh who both play for the Springfield Soccer Club. Jessica will be a freshman at Rogers State University in the fall of 2009.
Dan Meyer-Staff Coach

Dan started coaching for the Tracker Soccer Club along with fellow Springfield Soccer Club coach Joe Kofron. He holds an USSF Coaching License.
Meyer graduated Vianney High School in St. Louis and then attended from Missouri State and received his masters from Webster University.
Dan and his wife Becky live in Springfield with their son Nathan, who plays for the Springfield Soccer Club.
Jeff

Jeff has been involved with the game of soccer for nearly all his life. Jeff played 2 years of college soccer at North Central College (IL) before transferring to Evangel College.
After graduating he stayed involved with the club team at Evangel coaching them for two years. At the same time he also started coaching youth soccer here in Springfield which he has been doing for the last twelve years. Jeff currently holds an USSF license.
Jeff and his wife Amy have 4 children, Austin, Ashlen, Alyson and Autumn. Austin, Ashlen and Alyson all play for the Springfield Soccer Club. Jeff works for Greene County here in Springfield.
Chad Jaegers-Staff Coach
Chad is a Springfield native and the city’s first soccer player to earn a Division I scholarship. He played his first two years of collegiate soccer at the University of Louisville, earning team Offensive MVP honors his sophomore season.
He transferred to Drury University serving as team captain his junior and senior years. Chad was a two time offensive MVP for Drury and earned All-American honors both years. In 1999 he became the first soccer player to be inducted into Drury’s Athletic Hall of Fame. Upon completing his degree in Exercise Physiology, Chad Played professionally for the Louisville Thoroughbreds of the now defunct USISL.
Chad has been involved in youth coaching since 1990 in Springfield, Louisville, and Alabama. He helped start the original Panthers Soccer Club in 1992 and has coached several Springfield born players who have gone onto college playing careers.
Chad is married to Holly and they have two sons, Cole 4 and Kai almost 2. He is the District manager for Stryker Spine in Southwest Missouri.
David Stockton - Goalkeeping Coach
David
Stockton is in is first season as an assistant at Missouri State. Stockton is
involved in all facets of the program on and off the field, and specializes in
the training of the goalkeepers.
David Stockton began coaching as a graduate assistant at Midwestern State University in 2004. While a graduate assistant Midwestern played in the NCAA National Finals in 2007. Stockton also played goalkeeper for MWSU from 2001 until 2004. While playing for Midwestern State University, Stockton held Lone Star Conference season and career records for fewest goals against average and shutouts. Stockton compiled a 35-9 record with 17 career shutout while playing in 47 matches between the posts. David competed in the NCAA National Tournament in 2002 and 2003. He led the 2003 squad to an NCAA Division II national quarterfinalist appearance recording a 15-4 record with nine shutouts. Stockton was also a member of the All-Midwest Region team in 2004.
Following his career at Midwestern State University David played three years of semi-professional soccer in Kelowna, British Columbia and Dallas, Texas. While playing in Canada David was chosen for the Pacific Coast Soccer League All-Star team in 2004.
David holds a Bachelors of Business Degree and is currently finishing his Masters of Science in Kinesiology from Midwestern State University. David also holds his United States Soccer Federation “C” Coaching License.
Tom Giovanni - Coach

Tom Giovanni started playing soccer in the second grade in the C.Y.C. league in St. Louis for St. Francis of Assisi . From 5th grade through high school he played club soccer for Mastercraft Select, and the Plumbers Soccer Club in St. Louis for coaches Al Trost, Buzz Demling, Vince Drake, and Denny Hadican. Tom attended C.B.C high school and played soccer under Terry Michler, all-time winningest boys soccer coach in the country and went on to play soccer at Southwest Missouri State University (now MSU), a Division I program, under coach Jan Stahle and Tommy Howe. Tom graduated from MSU with a bachelorʼs degree in Economics and is currently employed by Acro Trailer in Springfield .
Tom currently holds an USSF license and has been involved in youth soccer since 2000 coaching the Cobraʼs and the Irish Middle School boys.
Tom is married to Mindy and they have three children, Tommy, Madeline and Gabrielle and they reside in Springfield . Tommy plays for SSC.
